Todays edition is brought to you by poverty, the worlds leading brand of death.
Ok, that might have been a little stupid but I'm bored, hungry and poor. Two of those three attributes contribute to poverty...so it's allowed.
I need some cash, I'm quite needy. Aside from selling my body (which I'm ever tempted to do, will be killing two birds with one stone..) there's nothing I can do here to make me some moolah.
Yeah, I intend to use a variety of slang words to describe money so leave now or forever hold your peace.
The jobs that are around are for places that I will not work in...Clothes shops.
Places I am happy to work in already have plenty of staff. So there's not a job for me in Canterbury. I kinda expected that really, it's a small town with a huge population of students, and people who actually live here all the time. I could just stop being fussy, but why chose to work somewhere that you are going to hate? That's just selfish. If anyone reading this works in an HMV and hates it, I would come and kick your arse if I wasn't such a chicken.
Cluckity cluck.
I'm pretty lucky that at home I have a job, though whether or not I'll have any work is another story...I've been hanging on there for a while now, and I do enjoy it. It can get pretty stressful in a library I must say, but working in the public sector is quite nice when you have regular customers. Since I've been there for about 4 years, I'm realising that it might be time for me to move on. I don't want to, but I don't see much work being offered to me anymore, so why stay to be offered something stupid like one day a week? I'll be sad to leave though. I kinda want to stay until I've finished uni..it's the only place I can think of that likes casual staff to come and go as they please...
Luckily for me, I'll now have an advantage over first jobbers. Plenty of experience even though its all about books. It's stupid how someone who has never had a job before is unable to get a job at somewhere that shouldn't require too many taxing skills and won't take long to train for. How is one expected to get a job at all?! Ok, so you can start in a supermarket...but have you ever seen a happy worker in Sainsburys? A smiling bundle of joy in Tesco? Alex sometimes smiles when we see him in Asda but I think thats because he's always hungry and steals our food.*
Perhaps because it wasn't too hard for me to find a job (I was 16 at the time)...I'm not overly sympathetic. I understand its not easy, but I guess if you are desperate...you shouldn't care where you work. Unless you're a snob of course. Personally, if I had the choice of unemployment or working in primark, I'd go with the scrounging off of my parents for food.
I'm thinking a few of you will agree with me on that.
The real reason of this blog is to tell you that I made 37p yesterday by writing a blog entry. I can't tell you the details on here because it's not allowed...but whoot me. 37 pennies to spend on 37 penny sweets. Awesome
Chillax, xoxo

April Fools Day
Happy April Fools day peeps.
I didn't fall for anything this year, I didn't get out of bed until after 12 so that kinda helps. Thankful for that really, not a fan of April 1st. Mainly because as much as I want to think of an elaborate scheme to fool thousands of people...I can't. Not a very good liar.
Though I like it if I'm watching morning television. It's the one day in the year that it amuses me...though is Fiona Phillips still on GMTV? I must say she made me laugh in that cringey kinda way...
I recall BBC videos of spaghetti trees from the 1950's. Pretty impressive I think. Pasta growing on trees..when viewers asked how to grow their own they were told to "place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best". Hehehe
Obviously, no one likes to be fooled...so why have a whole day dedicated to it? After doing a little research (dubiously), it seems that it started in France. New years day was once on April 1st (Julian Calendar) but some pope decided that the Gregorian calendar was the way forward. It being some time in the 1500's...twas hard to communicate to the whole of France, so by the time the message got around, people just didn't believe it. In foolish belief, they carried on celebrating NYE on AFD. Clever people decided to laugh at these idiots and trick them to do other stuff on April 1st.
Apparently.
A useless "holiday" but at least you don't feel compelled to take part. Or buy anyone a present. It's all good really. Though it does so happen to be my nan's birthday today. Says a lot really :P
And remember kids, revenge is sweet. Or sour. Or salty. Anything you like it to be really.
Peace out human beans xoxo

We're the kids of America...well..not really..
Hello again,
I've been playing with papier mache today...reverting back to my childhood of course. I can't say what I made because it's a secret, but it shall be cool :-)
So, on the thought of being a child again, I felt the need to write a blog about it.
Today I went into early learning centre (one of my favourite shops) and bought some glue. Of the non-toxic variety I'm afraid, no glue sniffing antics going on here at the bungalow...tonight... Anyway, there was a child in there who actually wanted to leave to go to a clothes shop with her mum. Actually demanding to leave a shop full of fun. I find that kinda odd, but then again...I'd rather buy some fuzzy felts than a new t-shirt. Or a gameboy game instead of new jeans. Hence the tramp look. There's no "esque" about it.
I was trying to remember what things I used to make as a kid...I can't really remember much but I do remember making a "Jupiter" for my sisters science homework. Mainly because I like science, but I really really enjoy doing stuff that really doesn't help my learning. Oh the fun I had with chalk on that day...was prettiful :-)
As a child I was a big T.V lover. CITV being my favourite, but switching over for Blue Peter and Newsround. Saturday mornings were of course, live and kicking until SMTV came along. Oh Ant, Dec and Cat...such good times. Pokemon was a big highlight of course, along with C.H.U.M.S and Wonkey Donkey. How frustrated they would be when the kid was just so stupid. Hehe.
I had a pair of fisher price roller skates. I couldn't skate. But I tried, and tried...but nope. Never. I think (from memory) that's the first time I gave up on doing something. I'd like to be able to skate, it might improve my balance overall...and then finally I could go iceskating...but I just don't think it's for me. I'm happy walking rather than rolling to places. Perhaps I'll put it on next years resolutions list. Probably won't though..I'm quite good at failing and I kinda don't wanna break any bones.
Breaking bones! Yes, that's one thing that never happened to me. My sister broke her arm twice. Twice! That's just rude. I always wanted a cast so people could sign on it. She had a glow in the dark one...was just too cool for words. I had the tendency to just fall over and get grit in my knees...or hit my head often...but never a broken bone. I guess it's good really...
I miss being excited at things as much as I used to be. I think everyone does really...Christmas just really isn't the same anymore. Maybe when I have my own kids I will revert back to the excitement...so long as I'm not cooking Lunch. Not looking forward to that.
What about food? For my birthday Sophie and Tim made me a lucky dip box, and one of the prizes was a pack of cheesestrings! I was never allowed them when I was younger, only had them when at other peoples houses...but wow. Then there was Sunny Delight - none of this "D" bullshit. Was so very bright orange/yellow...I consumed a lot of that stuff, usually on the way to school with Duncan. Turkey twizzlers before Jamie Oliver kicked up a fuss...they served those for school dinners. I liked those too..but I don't know why exactly. I think because they were all twirl like.
Since Woolworths has closed down, I really really miss sweets. It's just not the same going to the corner shop and buying a pack of wine gums...or if your lucky, pick n mix. *sighs*...though for a while I wouldn't go into the Woolworths in Putney (my local store) because of "Dicky". Just don't ask. He had lady fingers. *shudders*
I still live like a kid, and I probably will for a while. I don't have many responsibilities anyway so it's not like I'm a real adult. Thankfully. Don't wanna be one of those oldies just yet.
Being 21 hasn't made any impact on me so far. I'm glad I'm not a kid growing up at the moment. T.V just isn't the same and food is healthy. I wouldn't mind the clothes though, the hideous dresses I was put in as a child do make me think my mother was a narcissist.
Well, that's all for now folks. Tune in for another installment when I have some other crap to talk about :D

The first blog of many - BFF stuff.
Well hello there.
Usually I would write on Facebook with the desire to share my thoughts to my friends. However, I don't find it particularly satisfying. So, here I am with my first attempt of putting myself on display to the World Wide Web. I fully expect that I will not actually have a cult of devout readers...or any readers at all...but I can't help but revel the thought that someone I don't know somewhere will read my blog and smile.
Anyway, enough of that coma-inducing intro crap. On to the real business of the day.
Do you have a best friend? Do you have more than one? Do you despise the term "best friend" for its sickly sweet, vomiting-ly implication of matching friendship bracelets?
If you agree with the last statement, I'd quite like to speak to you since I don't think anyone I know understands or shares my hatred for the phrase. I've got used to it since I've had a best friend or two, mainly because I can't think of anything to say to replace it. Everything else just sounds like you're dating them. "Close friends", for instance, personally conjures up images of "not-so-secret-but-they-think-they're-invisible" fuck buddies in my boggling mind.
I can't stand it if I go to a restaurant - almost always TGI's - when I have to say "a table for two". I'm rather paranoid as it is, I don't need to think that people might actually believe me and my best friend are shagging each other. Ew. I know it's silly, pretty pathetic in fact...but I just can't help it. Louise says it's because I'm a closet homosexual, but (before you all agree with that statement) it's really not true.
So, what are the qualities you need to possess to be a best friend to someone? I can’t speak for everyone, but in my experience (Which must be about 2/3 years now) the following points are what I believe to be true. Louise will probably disagree and slap me for being stupid, but that’s the way our friendship works.
- Sharing the same interest in silly things, and the ability to talk loudly about them on public transport. Being silly 24/7 basically.
- Being able to find ourselves in sometimes quite surreal moments at night. Pigeons, farting chavs etc.
- Chatting constantly and repeating previous conversations quite frequently…without getting too bored.
- Gossiping. You’re really not a girl if you don’t enjoy some juicy news about someone you love to hate.
- Wandering around aimlessly not actually achieving anything except for sore feet.
- Bitching about tourists, people on the tube, stupid people and people we don’t know whatsoever.
- Our love for Starbucks, but hatred of the mothers who take up all the space during the day.
- Those little private jokes. It’s not a good experience for those around us, but once we start giggling…it can be very, very hard to stop us. Especially if snakes are involved. We would explain but you just wouldn’t get it.
I could go on, but I don’t want to bore you. Hopefully it hasn’t already, and that you are still reading this wonder of a blog.
Back to the sickly sweet vomiting-ly friendship bracelets statement. Once I said that I’d never have a best friend because I believed it was childish. I honestly think I was so in opposition to “best friends” because I was surrounded by cliques and was never part of one. I was a drifter at school, moving from one set of friends to another, but never truly someone’s best buddy. I don’t regret it though, if I did have one back then…I might not have been friends with Louise. I highly doubt that for reasons I won’t go into…ok, because she’s just better than everyone else. Sorry, you can all slap me for that if you wish.
In conclusion, I believe everyone should have a best friend. Someone who you can turn to, ask a question and receive a truthful response. “Do you like my new hair colour?” “No, it brings out the redness of your face.” =D
Not even my mother would say that to me. My sister would but she's special.
I will now leave you all with the following quote:
"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, 'What! You too? I thought I was the only one." ~ C.S. Lewis
